Idaho Lt. Governor and Northwest Career Colleges Idaho Will Hold Press Conference Tuesday Relating to Developments in the Reporting of Career and Skills-Based Training Opportunities for Idaho Citizens

Boise, Idaho — Idaho Lt. Governor Janice McGeachin and Northwest Career Colleges Idaho will hold a press conference at 1:00 PM (MT) on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, in the second-floor rotunda of the State Capitol to discuss developments in the reporting of career and skills-based training opportunities for Idaho citizens.

“Thousands of Idahoans have found success by obtaining education through private career colleges such as the ten institutions represented by Northwest Career Colleges Idaho,” Lt. Gov. McGeachin said.

The member schools of Northwest Career Colleges Idaho offer a broad array of training opportunities that prepare Idahoans for successful completion of skill specific training, certifications, professional licensure, associate and bachelor degrees. Some of the careers for which students are trained include electrical and telecommunications lineworker, respiratory therapy, technology, cosmetology, esthetics, nail tech, barbering, and massage therapy.

Barb DeHaan, Idaho Director for Northwest Career Colleges Idaho, said, “The Northwest Career Colleges Idaho, whose member schools represent many of the private postsecondary career schools in Idaho, is excited and appreciative that the Lieutenant Governor is taking time to highlight the accomplishments of our schools, students, and graduates. Even though most of our graduates complete their education in less than one year, they still Go On to rewarding, well-paying careers that contribute to Idaho’s economy.”

“I am excited to hear from current students and graduates from private career colleges who have gone on to find successful careers in Idaho,” Lt. Gov. McGeachin said.
